There's a shedload of paper sorted into appropriate folders.

Some of it dates from 2005.

I don't suppose I'll ever look at again.

It's something for my successor to throw into the paper recycling when I'm gorn.

Train was delayed by a broken down train at Llansamlet.

All the way to Neath at about 25 mph when we weren't totally stationary.

Chargrilling some garlic, rosemary and red wine marinated lamb steaks with triple cooked chips and chargrilled veg again as it was so good yesterday! Nice bottle of Faustino VII Rioja to wash it all down with.

Sounds good apart from the wine Get thee to a decent wine shop, that is some nasty rioja.

Mr N took me out to dinner at a new local restaurant this evening.

                      It was awful....

I had sole meuniere, which is sole lightly dusted in flour and pan fried in butter, the butter then makes a buerre noisette sauce. Done well it is delicate and lovely.

I got summat that had been doused heavily in flour and then was chewy and had to be hewn with a knife to get a mouthful with no sauce, so I sent it back. I got summat slightly more palatable, less chewy but no sauce!!!

Ok, I got taught this in chef school, it is a VERY basic recipe, HOW the hell can you f*** it up?????

Mr N had steak, which they hadn't bothered to season, it had supposedly been cooked on a BBQ ( big green egg) no flavour of that whatsoever.

I like to try new restaurants, but sometimes I want to give up.
