Am in two minds currently about the new kitchen I've been designing, toying with the idea of an induction rather than gas hob.

As much as I love gas, I hate the idea of cleaning the damn thing, the idea of being able to wipe stuff down and also more even cooking appeals.

        It's a reflex, honest.

          I can't remember the last time I wasn't bored.

Same here, though not bored at home.

            About to watch another DVD.

If I wasn't in so much pain I'd probably cook summat.

I'm really looking forward to being able to cook proper stuff again in my new kitchen.
Some bakers sell 'beschuitbol' which is a tolerable substitute; no to be confused with those dry 'beschuit' thingies people eat when someone's had a child. You might need to ask the baker though; as with anything you try to buy in NL, don't ask the dumb feckwhitted 'assistants' who don't know their arse from their tails, ask a proper baker. I'm assuming you've found a worthwhile bakery already.

I don't really eat bread tbh, and If I want anything in that department I make it myself, which is also why I'm looking forward to having a decent oven ( well actually two).

I've found some good bakers, but never really investigated muffins. There's always the M&S if I happen to be in hamsterjam, so can get some there.

Your new kitchen is going to be fab - you must show me some pictures when it's complete! I agree with the gas/induction conundrum. I've found strong hydrogen peroxide oven cleaner helps remove the carbon scoring but it's still a bitch to keep clean.

I'm getting fat from these biscuits....

for a hob, I got a Gas on Glass one...amazingly cool to look at and very easy to keep clean...
