"It is not just bad news for David Beckham. Sports businesses are warning that England's failure to qualify for the Euro 2008 football tournament will hurt their profits next year."
Oh. So we lose a footie match and the economy is screwed. SO it has nothing to do with runs on banks, the credit crunch, unemployment, hidden immigration, incompetent civil servants, government departments whose books cannot be audited, the complete absence of any heavy industry, unemployment or the balance of trade.

I'm not referring to PhD statistical analysis, I mean simple maffs. Is there not one person in that furkin great organisation with a single clue?
"The James Paget hospital and the Queen Elizabeth in Kings Lynn said there were sufficient beds, but a sudden change in the weather was putting extra pressure on them."
FFS! What is this THE WRONG KIND OF WEATHER? It's November, you bunch of lying retards - what did you expect?
So what if there's a 'flu outbreak? Or a train crash? Or s a sprinkling of snow?
