Looking at gigs this morning and saw one that seemed interesting until I read the line that said, imac, iphone and ipad provided.

Needless to say I didn't apply for that one.

Could have been worse, could have had a SiMac provided

I judge the level of how bad things are by how high up the food chain people who are cc'd into emails are, it's just hit board of director level

I hate to be a patronising git, but if you stop going off to Brugge for expensive weekends you can build up a warchest and go contracting again.

I have a hell of a warchest, at least 5 years worth

Only a few months though in the BV, which is what counts, otherwise I lose the 30% ruling, if I cannot find work within a few months of finishing the current gig then I lose the tax benefits which is not good.

You could try invoicing yourself from the BV. Worth a try. OK, you'd lose a bit in tax but if it's only for a couple of months to tide yourself over.

I have spoken to the accountant about that, not possible.
