Made it in eventually, then realised my pass was still in my travel bag in cloggers along with my pedestal key.

This is not good as the keys to the flat I am staying in are locked in said pedestal.

Sometimes just inverting the thing will unlock it.

Though you do have to have arms like Charles Atlas to invert a 4 drawer filing cabinet.
