I've done Beef Wellington and agree with norrahe here, it took me quite a few goes before it was even half decent.

Lamb shanks are a good one - throw everything into baking dish, add the vino and leave to cook for hours.

            mmmmm!

Likewise for Coq au vin, chicken legs, smoked bacon, mushrooms, vino, 40 mins in a pan and serve with a nice mash!

Or if you want to go fancy get some rabbit legs ( farmed not wild as the wild can often end up tough) and cook with white wine and mustard, add some cream at the end, again serve with veg and maybe soem dauphinoise spuds

                  All too complicated.

Stick to the fava beans, chianti & liver.

Sounds good or try daupinoise to posh your puds up a bit and isn't rocket science to make.

You could add chorizo, red peppers and smoked paprika along with the red wine.

I add all my veg into the wine with the lamb - super tasty!
