Since the middle of May.

Last client kept promising that a new contract was on it's way - four months of definite work that they needed doing.

- We need to do the work
- We don't have the ability to do it in house
- We know that you have the ability to do it
- We know that if we don't move quickly, you'll disappear on us

Work proposal was all signed off and ready to go - agent rang me to say "just getting paperwork, probably start next Tuesday"

And then it all went wrong.

They were arguing whether the work was a capital expense or not. If it was, then the contract was fine; if not, then there was no work to do.

So, I waited for a couple of weeks while they were arguing and trying to sort it all out, which took me through to June time.

When the children broke up from school, we had a few days at home and then went to France for two weeks.

Then we were back for a couple of days, and then MrsF and I went to America for 10 days while the children went to the grandparents.

So, I pretty much had the summer off, and then someone I worked with years back contacted me through LinkedIn about a new role.

Started today and am struggling to get into my email remotely.

I have an account in their Active Directory system but Gmail won't connect to it and nor with Thnderbird.
