1. pva the walls (3 times)
2. removed skirting
3. lift carpet
4. order new skirting
5. seal the new plaster
6. paint
7. order expensive light fitting and matching lamps
8. order expensive curtain pole
9. order expensive wooden blinds (So why do we need the pole)
