This is turning into a classic testing day. Showstopper issue that's happened 3 times before, thus no progress, techies on holiday or sick, MTT to report to steering committee that can't steer a supermarket trolley, never mind a project.And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Abridged transcript of steering committee meeting;
CIO: So MTT, what progress has UAT made today?
MTT: none at all
CIO: why?
MTT: all the test accounts are blocked because they were not delivered correctly after the DBA was replaced by a temporary consultant (read: Bob), even though the DBA gave the temp instructions to set up the accounts
CIO: what are you doing about it?
MTT: Today?
CIO: Yes
MTT: Your job. I've put together the relevant people from the different teams in your division and got them to share their experience and work together until it's solved
CIO: why didn't you ask me if you could do that?
MTT: I asked your PM and he said yes
CIO: grrr you should consider yourself lucky you don't work for me
MTT: I do
CIO: no you don't
MTT: I do, I consider myself very lucky indeed
CIO: grrrAnd what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
