Virgin Media have a routing problem this morning, meaning I couldn't get to many sites.

I was the first one to report it over the phone, though, and the guy was surprisingly knowledgeable.

Need to hack something together for part of the solution now.

It will meet the requirements, but be no good as a solution, but no-one else can give me the information.

It'll just have to be an "Assumption" in the technical design document.

And then someone else (post go-live no doubt) will ask the question "how do I modify the data?"

Support will take about 2 weeks to make the change.

And the data changes daily

I told them on day 1 that we could store the data in a custom table, but there would be no mechanism to change it, and everyone went "Oh..."

They just can't make a decision about anything - they are still arsing about whether they should deploy the script to splat the 300million duff records!
