This particular customer managed, all on his own, to label the input as "Output" and the output as "Vcc" IIRC.

I advised looking at using those dynamo torches, since they give a reasonable output.
I don't think it's a goer since you'd end up with a floor guaranteed to trip people up.
And we tested the torch & it gave 110mW output.
So he went away again & the kiddies in the skool did their thing & entered this competion.
And, guess what?
They won.
