At least, I used to know that.
This will be that tiny little gadget you showed us the other day, yes?
Can you solder some little wires to the contacts? Or is that far too botch-cowboy for an academic institution?
Anyways, why are you doing the soldering and not the student?
I had contemplated the bits of wire solution, but I'm not sure the thing will work like that.
I shall be doing the soldering because we want a 50% chance of it working rather than a 0% chance of it working.

It's no wonder we don't have a 3 phase lab any more.

The downside of signing on.
The Job Centre put me forward for a project manager role on the other side of the country; it is paying £22k+.
I've just been called to interview.
I was rather hoping to be getting interviews for contract PM roles paying perhaps a tiny bit more than that.
Oh well. It's all good practice, innit? My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

When you filled in the form I thought you could specify your salary expectations - then after 13 weeks lower it.

As we all know, debugging someone else's crap software is a deep & abiding joy to be avoided if at all possible.Comment
