My super new combi boiler started giving E133 messages.

The causes (according the manual) are "low gas pressure or flame detector failure".

The actual cause was the condensate pipe being frozen, as was revealed when the plumber cut the condensate pipe in the airing cupboard & half a gallon of water came out.

thats been quite a common fault on condenser boilers recently. I saw an item on the on show about how to avoid calling the plumber out and sorting the fault out first hand

Fine so far, much relieved to have escaped back to work.

The dottiness of ZeitMater is getting a bit much.

It cost me £25.

Considering how cold it was, I thought it money well spent.

There's about 25 feet of condensate pipe outside.

Judging by next door's, it was solid ice.

I've got a stiff back from getting an icy draft across it most of yesterday.

I've got a baaaad back for the new year.

I think it was the purchasing of the 125 kilos of coal wot dun it.

I rather preferred things when the coalman delivered the coal rather than having to fetch the stuff myself.
