I dont have the ability to work from home yet, however a threat of I'm not coming in might move them along a bitOriginally posted by FiveTimes View Postand there has been no response to my request for a portable heater - if I don't get a response by lunch time then I'm going to say that I'll be working from home.Comment

Don't forget to tell them you're going home regardless if it is too cold.
What is the maximum/minimum temperature in the workplace? My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

there is a wireless thermostat in the office and down at foot level it is 13.5 at one part of the office, at desk level its 16C.
The person who sits there had coat, ear muffs, heated usb fingers gloves and 3 pairs of socks on.
Yet they wont do anything about it.Comment

after my rant to the HSE manager about the temperature they suggested that I should wear extra socks.
That was a red rag to a bull !
I copied the section from the HSE website about what a company should provide. CC'd it to line manager and directors and told them to buy more heaters.
10 mins after the email was sent a little heater has miraculous appeared and its being passed around the office and people who are cold are getting a blast of hot air
