I do feel that I am being wasted in my current position.
I'm a software engineer and the work they have me doing is totally against my beliefs.

Sounds like they don't want to budge financially

      Back to contracting again perhaps??

just missed the cut for a gig on jobserve

Normally log on first thing, but spent ages e-mailing people, rang the pimp about the gig and he'd already sent over the quota of CVs.

          DOH!

currently I am porting some really old nasty code, and it is probably the worst I've ever seen and I'm not allowed to modify it or
              enhance it as it works.

Its just not right. I can rant all day about it but it wont make any difference

Also had a complete noobie of a pimp ring me yesterday, he was so new to the agency, that when leaving his number for me to call he forgot it halfway through the message, spent 10 seconds rustling papers on his desk muttering "where did I put that piece of paper" and then hung up. I then got another message a minute later with the actual number

Wouldn't have minded so much but I'm on their books

                      I use 6.

One for local (ie within 10 miles)
                      One for management (data/bi/mis)
                      One for perm/management (very focussed)
                      One for BA(but focussed)
                      One for Crystal
                      One for Business Objects/OBI EE

Just need to fine tune a few.
