I've finally decided to empty the ferric chloride tank.

So far I've got 8 litres of spent tulipe, stuff that looks like gravel, and 10 "lost" pcbs from way back whenever.

There's still one I can't shift.

Bummer.

I had to make a long tweezery thingie to reach down into the tank coz it's too narrow to get one's hands down.

I made it out of a bit of plastic cable trunking lid.

I did indeed.

I suppose I could have stuck a hose off the tap into it, but had nowhere to put the waste water thereafter.

I suspect that the bubble generator thingie is blocked up too coz the ferric appears not to bubble very much.
