And now I've more or less sorted the RS and Farnell catalogues:

          Bored.

          Now.

I used to read them when I had a "proper" job - didn't understand 'em mind you. And old HP catalogues (cos I wanted an atomic clock)
            I was very young.

I used to read the new ones religiously. Well, the electronic component bit.

It was a long long time ago before the catalogues reached the size where you needed hospital treatment if you dropped them on your foot.

I've got 1986 RS and 1988 Farnell catalogues.

              They're comparatively small.

In the 1970s they were even smaller.

Pre 1970s, the RadioSpares catalogue, as it was then was about 100 pages, full of bits for fixing tellies and wireless sets.

I noticed the other day that Stewart of Reading were selling an HP rubidium frequency standard for a mere £1000.

Do you reckon he'd take £800?

                    I suppose he might.
