i hesitated for ages on the cusp of 5k. wanted to savour it. in the end i rather limped over. didn't want to make too much of a fuss. most ofthe earlier gods made rather big deals of it.

there were personal threads and the like.

Ah - the agony of choice.

Part of me says there should be a fanfare, part of me wants to be subtle (yet still accepts the plaudits of recognition).

I'd like the 5000th post to be of some significance, rather than just a build up to the big number. Or, now that I feel that I've found some sort of spiritual home on TPD, should it be here. Which may make the target of it being a significant post much harder.

See, if I'd thought about it - that could have been ten of the eleven posts that I need.
