When our hamster died, my wife said she'd never have another pet again - it's too hard when they die.
Seeing as how you've lost a dependent, make the decision now to 'phone in sick tomorrow - you slipped on the ice and you think you have twisted something. Have some 'me' time to grieve and remember.
And it's not true ZeitMog is no more: ZeitMog lives on while you (and we!) think of her.

I'm really sorry Zeity. I've had to have a few cats put down and it's horrible, but they are a lot of fun while they are with us.
