    Norrahe is right abou the cat. If it is wearing a collar with id call the owner, if not call Cats Protection.
    I found a 'new friend' a few years ago. After a couple of days I fed him and made him a little shelter. He eventually let me near enough to get the details off his collar and he was from the other side of town. His owner had no idea how he had got to me and came to pick him up.

                  We seem to get a fair few escapees from the vets up the road.
