Back from school - I found DD2's little cuddly toy fish that she took up before half term. They had an animal dressing up day, and she went as a cat. She was insistent on taking the fish, because cats eat fish, and that's what she was going to pretend to eat for her snack.

Of course, she then forgot to bring the fish home with her.

And no-one at school could find it.

At one point, the student teacher asked "are we looking for a fish or a dish?"

Which didn't fill me with confidence, it has to be said.

Anyway, I found it this morning on the side.

Both girls have forgotten about it, though, so it wasn't too important.

Nor was it too expensive (a matter of pence from Ikea).

As ever with these things, it's the principle that matters.

I give enough money and donations of old toys etc. to that school without needing to give any more.
