which was a great idea except i had never been skiiing before and had negelected to pack any equpment on the off chance that such an event would happen.Comment

i guess the same would have been true off say, rock climbing or pot holing. except that i had actually done those things before. but clearly don't pack such event-type clothing in my suitcase for a 5 day business trip.Comment

so needless to say everyone was very excited to be told that the meetings scheduled that penultimate day were fake and that we were all bussing off to the alps for a spot of snow fun.Comment

i advised that a/ i had never been skiiing and b/ had no suitable clothes and was met with looks of astonishment from the locals.Comment

i told them that since i don't live near any mountains and rarely see snow that it my lack of experience was hardly that surprising.Comment
