I wonder when this week's New Scientist will appear.
Last week's appeared on Tuesday or Wednesday I seem to recall (vaguely).Comment

I was just walking home. I'm on a busy main road, whose pavements are mainly occupied at this time of a Saturday night by people who are drunk.
Along come two kids who can't have been older than eleven (and the smaller of them looked more like nine), cycling down the pavement at 2:30AM. Braking next to me, the older of the two asks "Excuse me, have you got a spare cigarette?"
+1 for good manners; -(2^16) for their parentsComment

I really don't know why I keep this rubbish.
We won't mention the Barco colour monitors in the garage.
They were about £5k each in 1978.Comment

I bought a copy of Mojo yesterday.
It's full of those new fangled beat combos you know.
And this one had a photo of Mr Roger Waters on the cover.
Plus a very strange "remastered" CD version of "The Wall".
By way of being an anniversary edition (30th).Comment

I listened to it as I read my freeads car mags.
It was ok in an odd sort of way.
Have to wait for the January issue to see how they've murdered Comfortably Numb.Comment
