i experimented on the weakest three by squirting in the expanding foam stuff. gets into all the crannies an sets hard. should act as a sealant and a support.

though i expect that it too will eventually weaken... and then become a nightmare to clean out and fix again. ho hum.

i spilt a bit too. nasty stuff that ever expanding foam. wonder if swmbo will identify the spillage and complain.
