      Evening all

      Mind how you go

      Quiet evening.

Just watch the Electric Dreams thing on BBC4 where a family go back to the decade that style forgot: the 1970s.

Quite interesting in its way, power cuts, very little in the way of consumer electronics.

And what there was was produced in the UK.

Which might explain why the tellys were so unreliable.

Uncle Clive was on it for his calculator.

The dad was driving a Ford Cortina Mk II.

They alleged that it didn't have assisted brakes, but I'd have thought that it would have by then.

And in 1978, a Commodore PET turned up on dad's desk in the office.

Nearly forgot those orange hopper things.

The next episode, the 1980s, goes really high tech, the BBC B is about to appear.

                  Then I watched "Life".

                  I like "Life".

                  Pity it's been cancelled.

But there you go, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Did my nails this evening. They are now wonderfully shiny - and I didn't have to put varnish on them.
