Try going into Internet Options and clicking on the Privacy tab. There should be a slider that tells you how high the security is set. I've seen this before with IE6 and it turned out to be something to do with the site content not being rated (suitable for children, a bit dodgy, smut etc.). I'll try and remember what we did to fix (bodge around) it ...
It's grand at home, it's just here it's wonky!
Its IE8, it was fine before my holidays but not now....
