Just to really make my day, the USB Wi-Fi dongle thingie won't install properly.

I've downloaded the latest drivers and tried installing them first, but it makes no difference.

As soon as the drivers are installed, even if I don't install the USB device, the PC won't boot properly. Just loads of "Explorer caused an error in <unknown>" messages that never end.

So that's a piece of NetGear crap - as crap as their support forum turned out to be, the smug twats - that's going back to the shop for a refund.

Dammit, if that was the outcome I wanted I'd have bought it in PC World in the first place.
My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.

Why do builder's have to start each working day with a lump hammer?

Is it a tradition from when they were on the construction site; a way of saying "I'm here, boss"?
The question is which comes first : the hammer or the tea?

As for where their van will go, heaven knows.

Are you going to need a crane?

Will the van go on the road?

Logged a call about not being able to download the driver.

          "Follow the instructions"

I did, it fails because the permissions are wrong on the driver directory.

          "It works for us"

That's because the permissions are wrong on the driver directory. It doesn't work.

"That's what everyone says, but it works for us"

          Winker.

            So that was nice.
Just as well it happened to you rather than me. I would have lost me rag and called up one of my f4j chums to make sure everything was sorted properly.

They're private sector, so it's a bit of lump hammer, gossip, tea.

There's no more room for a crane than for a removals van. But the stuff can go out the front door instead; it's just not as easy.

The removals van cannot go on the road as there are zig-zags because of the crossing, then double-yellow lines.
