Orange has just sent their "You didn't do a £10 top-up last week so you don't get this week's special offers." Each one of those messages makes me just a little more annoyed with them.

Google has slightly changed its appearance again. There's more text in search results, I think.
It doesn't feel right, getting different output from an application without going through: annoying pop-up on the status bar, load Internet Exploder, Windows Update, download, stop what you were doing, shut everything down, reboot, Windows Update, reboot, wonder what the hell you were going to do.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

Never has it dawned on any of these security specialists or sysadmins that password expiry should not occur during leave periods. It causes a nightmare for support people on Bank Holiday Tuesdays and the Monday when people come back from holiday / Xmas / Easter.Originally posted by zeitghost View PostJust discovered my work password has expired.
It's never let me reset it remotely so I suppose I'll have to wend my weary way in & do it on site...
So, as a consequence, because a bit flag has been set somewhere, you have to spend hours transporting your physical being from one place to another to change something tiny, to keep a computer happy.

This is the opposite of what computers are for, FFS!
They're not supposed to dictate your life, they are meant to make it easier and better.

More bad news : Mrs BP took a bad fall yesterday at a maize maze(following hours of moaning by the 2 boys).
Mother-out-law due in for triple bypass end of next week (just before centreparcs holiday). Now she has had a heart attack!
Mrs BP not amused......Comment
