Some time back you were talking about a summer project. I remember discussion about a complicated way of making a solar panel face the sun.

Next door's solution looks very simple.

I suppose there's all sorts of ways of doing this.

I was thinking of a RTC so you could calculate the direction & elevation of the sun on a given day of the year.

I suppose the thing is convex to increase the output a bit... it compensates for not frigging about with the elevation.
