Quick summary: dinner in the pub was a very fine spicy tomato & lentil soup. Vegetarian, I suppose, but I did have a (subsidised) roast beef dinner at lunchtime to top off my (subsidised) bacon sarnie earlier. Hopefully VF won't be too ashamed of me
