It is so sad when that happens.
A teabag, wasted. The time, the thought, the care that goes into the picking of the tea, the making of the bag, the brewing of the tea.
The knowledge that at some point it passed through optimal strength and temperature ... but that the sweet perfection was then lost, forever.
Like some pretty daughter to a lonely farming couple in a remote valley in a far flung land. Destined to grow up beautiful, alone. Then old, and decrepit, weathered brown, wrinkled and worn out. Yet a virgin.
Such a waste. Such a tragic waste.
A pretty rising star, that blooms as a supernova, leaving heavier elements for future life to form, yet there is no life present to see its shining light. Just a hint of background radiation. Nothing left to show it ever lived.
Like an old dried tea-stain on a worktop, to be wiped away by a mould-ridden rag.
Unknown.
