Mrs BI is living her Plan B. She decided ten or so years ago that he had had enough of working for other people, on their premises, to their timetable, doing what they think is right.

So she sat down and devised a Plan B. Then she did A Magical Thing. A Special Magical Thing that makes Plans B work:

Mrs BI has been trying to enrol on a particular course for three years.

There is a very niche field she is looking to expand into. This course only runs once a year. Each year for the past three years the course has been cancelled due to a lack of people enrolling.

This year the person who runs the course decided it has to go ahead because Mrs BI and A N Other have enrolled each year for 3 years and then been turned away. He has said "Enough" and told the professional body invlved that it must go ahead, even at a loss.

So that was nice of him.

So Mrs BI is on a course with A N Other. 1:2 - a nice lecturer to student ratio.

This course was supposed to run a few weeks ago.

But the lecturer was ill.

So it was rescheduled.

But then A N Other couldn't make it.

So it was rescheduled.

Onto today and tomorrow where our Wedding Anniversary is today.

And Mrs BI's boss (being Mrs BI, of course) said: "NO! DAMMIT! It shall not be rescheduled agaian! NO Wedding Anniversary until the weekend after the course! <stomp>"

(The <stomp> was her putting her foot down. In slippers. On the office carpet. So it was quite quiet. But I heard it, quite clearly. Marriage does that to you.)
