Trip to the vets with Betty cost us £50 last night

- a POL hybrid costs about £15

an organic whole chicken costs about £10

you could have been back in the position you were in prior to 'Betty' getting ill and have been tucking into a nice roast for the net outlay of a fiver!!

According to a recent Twitter post John Cleese also keeps chickens.

Tell me about it - we can get chickens locally from £2 - £5. I was not best pleased, and it won't be happening again. Problem is that they have become pets - which to be honest I knew would happen.

probably a Cube - still not decided. I had it all planned for last year but didn't get the garden sorted.

I was going to get a nice wooden coop and run from FlytesoFancy in Dorset but then my Gardener got an Cube and told me how much better it was than a wooden one.

Bloody expensive though!!

The cube does look good - we considered one but reckoned it would take up too much space in our meagre garden. Very expensive as you say, but much easier to clean than a wooden coop.

No, I've caught a lurgy from somewhere so I'm just moping around and coughing a lot. Starting to feel better so should be ready to start looking next week.
