Whilst trying to confirm that I stumbled across the Sausage Making forum. That gets my vote for a CUK holiday.

I only know that about 5 years ago a baby was fed on nothing but farleys rusks(mashed in milk) died!

Obviously use as part of diet and give plenty of water.....

Only feeding them Rusks would certainly be a problem - there are a range of nutrients that a baby requires from different sources. I remember hearing about a baby that died from just being fed on mashed up roast dinners (essentially just mashed versions of whatever the parents ate) just because the parents didn't know any better.

Just found an article from 2000 that mentions the high salt content of Rusks and other baby foods, but it looks like Farleys (Heinz) have addressed that since then and don't add any salt at all now.
