I read a story in the paper here today. It was about an artificial reef built in the bay at Mt Maunganui that isn't working to create waves suitable for surfers as had been hoped.
The sorry story has descended into mutual recriminations with the supplier claiming that they weren't given enough money blah, blah, blah.
That aside, the story did mention that the webcam that records the surf has recorded surfers there 18 times in the past six months. That webcam is in Tay Street.
I thought, "Blimey, what a coincidence!"
You can read all about it here if you can be bothered:
Hoping for a more productive day today - but I can feel it going wrong already; primarily due to a lack of water in the fountain.
Luckily the CIO of ClientCo is here today. I suggested to BigBoss that he could ring him and ask him to bring a bottle of water up from the shop floor. Or better still ring him and ask if he has running water anywhere near his office, and if so what makes him special.

Just had a mate from ExClientCorp contact me on Messenger - he knows a large, well-known dotcom who need a Google Maps specialist, so he's passing them my contact details
Sounds promising - fingers crossed!
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?
That is the main newspaper for the top half of the North Island.
There is so little news that everything that happens gets reported. That is every crime and every death by something other than natural causes.
Having said that, I seem to remember that eight years ago every burglary (they call them "home invasions" here) was reported but they don't seem to bother with those any more.
Internet connection is essential for me to maintain any semblance of sanity.
