I prefer a USB powered drive to a proper external one.Originally posted by HeliCraig View PostJust a standard issue 500Gb external USB hard disk (for backing up ClientCo laptop too - if I ever get it back!).
eBuyer have a Bufalo at £49.98, and the WD MyBook (which I prefer) at £58.38... wondering if anybody else knew any good deals atm?
Freecom 320GB is about £60 from ebuyer - I have a couple on my desk at the moment.
If you want something bigger and better then a Drobo is good, but you need to install the Drobo software on the machine. I use that as my backup device rather than the old external drives that I used to have.Comment
