Morning All,

Looks like I am now condemned to another day on this flying machine that is ClientCo desktop.

The shining lights in PC Services have managed to turn my uninstalling some software from an otherwise perfectly reliable laptop into a physically broken hard disk which needs replacing. Where do we find them?

I was reading effective STL on the train. Sort of stuff I would google on the job. Have to train to learn it by heart......

I've always believed that interviews (and exams to some degree) are flawed in that respect, and there is too much emphasis on memory - which is not necessarily the same as understanding. Whilst some degree of immediate knowledge should be tested (to filter out the obvious timewasters) the candidate should also be tested to measure their ability to solve problems and find answers from external sources which would normally be available to them, like Google as you say.

Blimey, that's a bit deep for me at this time of the morning.
