        Plus, I may be back in London if last ClientCo EVER decide that they need to bite the bullet, admit that they were wrong, and cave in to my (not unreasonable) demands.

        The (short) PM wanted to show that he was in control and made the right decision. However, there is no way that the problems are going to go away, so he might as well just admit it and get the project back on track.
