Should the need arise I can recommend a visit to The Griffin Inn just outside Coleshill in Shustoke. A very decent pub if memory serves, although that was a few years back now.

I used to work on the Birmingham Business Park, the exit from which was the next along a roundabout from a major NEC exit. Getting out of that place was a nightmare when there was a show on. Although most evenings we stayed behind to play Quake for a couple of hours or so, by which time things had quietened down.

Good god - I use to drink in the Griff back in the early 80's.
