No. I've hired a 15 metre Boat from Cardiff, a small tug in fact.
I have to salvage a 34 foot Yacht (Ketch) on the river Usk at the Yacht club tomorrow.
She's ripped off a keel and torn the hull. the remaining Stb keel had forced her over on her side as she bottomed out on low water, and then she flooded on the rise of course.
Insurance job so the money is there.
As for my own insurance claim for the theft and damage at my site on Newport docks.
My company sec called earlier and told me that the broker said that we may not be able to claim as our insurance does not cover us for damage arising from vandalism.
There is nothing stated in the policy either way about vandalism whatsoever, so I might have a fight on my hands here.
Problem is that I am insured through a Name at Lloyd's.
Now I have to determine whether to appeal and fight if they refuse, or pay the estimated £10,000 Loss & damages myself. (probably cost me that much just to get them into court)
My insurance for Marine civil engineering & Diving is costing me nearly £13,000 a year. and now they are trying to tell me I may not be able to claim for damages that are, as the result of theft and vandalism.
