It's all good though, as I told clientco what's happening would happen, and they said "oh no it won't and I said, fine wait and see"Originally posted by HeliCraig View PostThat happened to me yesterday. My commiserations.
Yesterday they rang me and said "er...you know that thing you said would happen, it's happening"

Even that "simple" PHP was beyond me.......Originally posted by NickFitz View Post500 Internal Server Error suggests some kind of misconfiguration, as opposed to a mere PHP error.
Have you tried uploading a straightforward HTML file? If you can access that OK, then try a simple PHP file:
- if that breaks, then it looks like a dodgy PHP configuration.Code:<?php echo 'Hello'; ?>
Try grabbing everything off the site and running it locally - the Apache error log might hold some clues.Comment

Hopefully that explains why the traffic has tailed off somewhat in the past few months.
Passwords all changed, users checked out OK, anonymous FTP disabled, and am taking a backup so I can search for any dodgy code there.
What permissions should I have public_html set to? I don't do this web malarkey!!Comment
