      It's all good though, as I told clientco what's happening would happen, and they said "oh no it won't and I said, fine wait and see"

      Yesterday they rang me and said "er...you know that thing you said would happen, it's happening"

      My charges will reflect my prediction.

                Have you tried uploading a straightforward HTML file? If you can access that OK, then try a simple PHP file:
                Code:
                <?php
                echo 'Hello';
                ?>
                - if that breaks, then it looks like a dodgy PHP configuration.

                Try grabbing everything off the site and running it locally - the Apache error log might hold some clues.
                Even that "simple" PHP was beyond me.......

                  Thanks - looks like the hack took place a few months back before we upgraded, and then stayed there.

                  Hopefully that explains why the traffic has tailed off somewhat in the past few months.

                  Passwords all changed, users checked out OK, anonymous FTP disabled, and am taking a backup so I can search for any dodgy code there.

                  What permissions should I have public_html set to? I don't do this web malarkey!!

                      Did I miss something? What did NF do to potentially get banned?
