Hmm... the meta description tag on each page has the contents of the first post on that page, truncated if necessary:

<meta name="description" content="Thatll be a no then." />

It's a standard feature of vBulletin. Another forum that I use (well, MrsF uses mostly for crafty things, and I post my usual high humour and geeky comments) uses vBulletin, and I was chatting with someone there about Meta tags, and checked what theirs did.

Their one includes the thread title and forum name in the meta tag too. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing to have as far as SEO goes.

The browser on my iPhone crashed and scuppered me. Makes a change from
VDF or BP doing it. Not having much luck lately.
