Just got off the phone with the pimpette regarding this WFH contract.
It appears that a bunch of rank amateurs are getting in there and driving down the rate
The stupidly low rates they're pitching at are probably representative of their pisspoor skills, but of course one can't depend on the end client realising that
Anyway, I haven't budged - I'd already trimmed my rate to reflect the lack of travel and so forth. If I go any lower I might as well join a YTS scheme and be done with it. Hopefully the end client will have some understanding of the fact that you get what you pay for.
It's all very slow moving as well - feedback next Wednesday, interviews the week after that... I'm used to phone call, interview the next day, start a day or two after that. It seems there is a slower pace of life in the provinces

The single database option is very easy to set up, but if you have a lot of users it's probably going to lead to a very bloated database. OTOH, depending on where you're hosting, you might not be able to set up multiple databases.
Do you have a dedicated server?Originally posted by NickFitz View PostDon't forget to scroll down to Multiple Install AutomationOriginally posted by NickFitz View PostEven better, just use WordPressMU:
Ever dream of running hundreds of thousands of blogs with a single install of WordPress?
WordPress MU, or multi-user, is designed to do exactly that. It is most famously used for WordPress.com where it serves tens of millions of hits on hundreds of thousands of blogs each day.
