The squad that we were following had continued north. we summised that they had overheard our attack on their first squad and changed direction.
Their tracks now lead straight toward Delta's rear.
We found them an hour later, they were all dead.

We radio'd in and made a full sit rep, and were ordered to return to unit DELTA.
It took us several hours to get back to the truck and rejoin the group where we were told that we could rest up as the 11th Brigade FAPLA had retreated from the battlefield tails between their legs.
The T 54 tanks had been wiped out by our Ratel APC's
The Ratel mounted a 90mm gun and was fitted with anti-tank rocket launchers. on an open field they would not have stood a chance against the russian T 54. but we were in a brush fight and there, hight means might.
The T 54's were running blind through the brush, but the Ratel had a very high profile, usually a disadvantage.
Here it saved the day.

The Ratel commander from on top could see out over the brush and spot the tank without his own vehicle being seen.
Firing coordinates and command given, the tank crews never knew what hit them.
