Yeah, it gets pretty warm up there, especially over the last couple of days. We haven't gone for a/c but each room has a "normal" window at one end and a Velux at the other, so hopefully that should help to get some air moving.
We had loft conversion about 3 years ago, best thing we ever did.
The heat up there in the summer is red hot, but it doesn't compare to the cold in the winter.
The best things we ever bought were velux blackout thermal blind. Makes the room pitch black anytime of the day.
