Not these days you can't... if you look at your average PCI card, it'll have 6 layers. Two of those layers will be buried power planes, i.e. Ground and 5V (or 3.3V). It helps keep the EMI down and makes things more compact.

        Gets very expensive though...

WSS... especially if the components are surface mount (which most are now)... ball grid arrays are the worst...

Squeeze being the operative word of course.

It brings in all the joys of vias, tented vias, buried vias etc.

And the boards are a pig to test.
Oi Zeity, why haven't you mentioned capacitance between layers?

          I am "so" bored......

There must be more to life than this.... If I was younger I'd sell my bod instead

          Anything to break the monotony....
Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little, in order to say "How do you do" in a gloomy manner to Pooh.
"And how are you?" said Winnie-the-Pooh.
Eeyore shook his head from side to side. "Not very how," he said. "I don't seem to felt at all how for a long time."

The "Brighton and Sussex Sexualities Research Network Conference"? Should be amusing this year.

You can't mean the "BRITISH ORTHODONTIC CONFERENCE 2008".

dConstruct 2008. That'll be it then.

"International TSC Research Conferenc" - even I can't bring myself to take the p!ss out of that.

I'll stop there. There's hundreds of the damn things in Brighton in September.

"you smell of real ale from a mile away" is the usual accusation.
