I suppose that I'd better lock this work station as per the revised instructions...

I joined this company a year ago with another developer, we both got extensions at 6 months and 9 months, and now after 12 months, we're told there's no more money, so we both have to go. I've been a contractor for years, the other guy just started, this is his second.

As usual, I was friendly with the permies, but I don't get involved socially, since you will be moving on soon. The otehr developer started getting very pally with the boss and lead developer. He goes up to their houses to play Quakewars, etc etc.

Now there's an extra month's work going, who gets offerd it? Not he.
Any idea why the money has run out? Is it credit crunch related?

Being a media company, they rely on advertising, and I thinik the general crunch has reduced that revenue. That's what I was told anyway.

I hope you cover up that incident with the etching tank!

Lets hope they don't ask why so many students go missing...

I thought the general business rule was that the LAST thing to be cut was advertising?
