    Shagwell Wood

Xog, are you beginning to mix up reality from the virtual? It looks as though your discontent with your neighbours is affecting reality.

Let your real friends know your problems and rally round to help resolve your issues.

Eeeeh???? What aaare you on about oh?

To avoid confusion which is not mine:-

    a) Mr Pikey Scum is trying to annex woods behind our house
which belong to the brickworks. Don't think these woods have a name.

    b) There are also some woods a couple of miles away that have acheived 5 start rating in the Michelin Good Dogging Guide. These are not called Shagwell woods but much shagging of all possible gender combinations involving at least one male clearly goes on there.

    c) There are some woods a couple of miles away called Shagwell woods but as far as I know the only shagging in them is by badgers and other wildlife.

Trust this clears up any doubt.

I suppose we could hope that Ron Davies MP chances across this board - I'm shure he would (alledgedly) be able to shed some light on this.

I read somewhere that there's now a lesbian night once a week on Hampstead Heath. I wonder how they tell who's who just sidling past each other in the dark - must be some embarrassing slip-ups

Cold her in the light relief section you mean? Or a frosty reply? Sorry if latter oh, not meant.

Fact is, Mr Scum affair does get to me at moment. I am one of nature's cowards who would prefer to avoid conflict wherever possible but complete opposite by shear will power, man's gotta do etc. Don't believe in being anyone's doormat in life.

Suprisingly a tendency to eg tell a car load of youths shouting at me to get a move on at petrol pumps to p*ss off and wait their turn while secretly quaking in my boots has not so far got me killed.

Actually feel much more relaxed since I found out that the brickworks are going to put in a refutation of his claim. I had thought their lawyers were set on making a convenient compromise deal to save themselves money. Which would have left just me and my other elderly and very vague neighbours and another who was too frightened of nasty Mr Scum to say anything on the record (therefore inadmissable) against Mr Scum and his three phony witnesses. The thought of the theiving lying bastards actually winning really got to me.

I will say nothing about so called "friends" up the road who know the facts damn well but prefer to keep out of it.

Cold in this forum! No offence taken.

Sounds like you and I are alike when it comes to conflict and I definitely missed out on the "get what ever I can" gene.

Recent episode with neighbour and communal aerial case in point. Tolerated his vandalism to start with but one night, after bad day at work, I had had enough. Went round to have a look see and he made the mistake of coming out at that point. Both barrels. Took me ages to calm down. Unfortunately, he still got his way and now there is no longer a community aerial.

If the woods are the property of the brick works, regardless of the company's neglect or otherwise, then surely he has not rightful claim?

If he does win won't there be restrictions on what he can do with the land?

Two separate issues, usage and ownership.

If he can show he has used the land for the same purpose for ten years he does not have to apply for full planning permission for the change of use.

His ownership dispute with the brick works mainly hinges on his using the land for twelve years.

I gave the bastard an ultimatum in writing four years ago to remove his latest fence and not to enclose or use in any way any more land next to my garden or I would do everything possible to get him removed from the whole area.. Worked for a while, then two years ago he put the fence back. My letters to the council and the brickworks went off the same day. Taken me the two years to get the council to do anything.

                    Sounds seriously flawed.

On that basis, anyone who borders apparently unused land can trespass and thereby has some superior claim to that of the rightful owner.

Do you think he would have liked the brick works to have cut down the woods and laid a massive car park just to give some impression of use?
