Potentially signing a contract in the PS tomorrow. Client has agreed that gig is outside IR35 but not formally stated this yet. What's the view on getting contracts reviewed independently now? Seems pointless if client now determines status. Perhaps still useful for backup in the event of any challenge/investigation? Apols if this has been discussed/asked before. Not enough time to search tonight.

If it were me, I'd feel happier knowing that the contract terms reflected the "outside" status. You also want to be confident that there are no nasty clauses that pass liability to you if HMRC do challenge the status. And ideally you should be getting your contract reviewed for commercial terms as well as IR35.Originally posted by Gomez View PostPotentially signing a contract in the PS tomorrow.
